Easy Peasey!

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and have never experienced any problem with the product. Over these years I have processed tax returns for two; this year I added my Mother's return. Hers was a bit more complicated than I originally thought.
But, Turbo Tax was right there with the solution. I upgraded online to the correct product I needed and Mom's return went off without a hitch!
Bravo Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Turbo tax asks questions, more than you might think yourself, providing you with the perfect pathway to filing .
What's not so great: Actually, I can't think of anything I would change. But if I know Turbo Tax, they will improve the product next year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is great to be able to do your taxes on your own, but don't be fooled- you will pay more than you think. I'd rather have them charge me for everything upfront.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: unnecessary upgrades

The first year was pretty complicated for me since I had a CPA do mine for like 5 years, but after hearing so many people at work swear by Turbo Tax decided to try it out. I'm not going to lie, the first year I was a bit overwhelmed, but OMG, the 2nd year Turbo Tax finds the previous years data and transfers it to the current year and this was so awesome. So handy and helpful. Will continue to use Turbo tax!
What's great about it: The 2nd year is almost a breeze with the transfer of data
What's not so great: no real cons for those that enjoy this tedious task

Fed Good; please work on state

For Arizona tax it is quite common for filers to take the standard deduction on Federal but itemize for state. Arizona requires that a Federal Schedule A be filed with the return when itemizing for state. TurboTax does not make this form available under the state tax section. The only way to get a Schedule A is to go back to the Federal section and change the election to Itemized. This is a major pain in the butt. I wish TT would automatically provide this form when the filer wishes to itemize for Arizona state taxes.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: AZ Tax needs development

Every year I keep coming back to Turbo Tax because none of the others can match its performance.

What's not so great: The HELP sites were not good enough
Pros: I bought or sold investments

We've been using Turbo Tax every year for the last ten years. I won't change. Hardest thing was choosing which version to use. If in doubt, go Premier.
What's great about it: Easy question format; very detailed to seek your largest refund
What's not so great: None really

Taxes with Ease

I have been using turbo tax for many years and find that it is great and keeps improving. When advancing through a topic (such as deductions) it would be nicer if the 'continue to next topic' button were at the top of the page rather than needing to scroll to the bottom for each sub-topic. A better, more user friendly, way to import information needs to be made - if a W-2 for instance was not able to be imported in a previous year it is not easy to import now #now that technology is better and more companies are participating#.
What's great about it: Covers everything in a very simple format, uploads from prior years save lots of time.
What's not so great: Some things could be made a little more simple

Generally a good program

more bugs than in the past. I had a tax return with 2 states and I got caught in an infinite loop when pressing "continue". I had to click on another section to get out of it. Overall it's an easy program to navigate and has good options. I can't say how good it is compared to other programs, since I have only ever used Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Loads in previous years info
What's not so great: Bugs
Pros: I bought or sold investments
