Makes filing taxes stress free!

I've used TurboTax for many years now, and the process has always made filing taxes relatively simple, without any guess work. This last year I had some added complexity to my tax situation, and TurboTax still made the process easy to work through. I really like the ability to download information from various institutions and partners into needed documents along the way. TurboTax will be my tax tool for many years to come!
What's great about it: Easy step by step guided process

Truly a Pleasure

I love using Turbo Tax. It's easy to use and they catch things I miss, like my property taxes this year YIKES! I did have a little problem with an unusual form, but I think more of the problem was with the way the 1099-b was written, not with Turbo Tax. I recommend Turbo Tax to all my friends. It actually makes filling out the tax forms fun for me, and that's saying a lot!
What's great about it: Love how turbo tax walks me through everything

2014 Taxes

Overall, the product was very good.
The Premier version was needed to analyze taxes this year where the Deluxe version was needed to do the same last year (more expensive version this year to do the same thing as last year).
There is an error in the software when analyzing the final State return; it will send you back to the beginning of the State return. It does not let you know if everything is correct or if there are flags.
What's great about it: Federal tax questions/explanations very comprehensive
What's not so great: State tax questions/explanations extremely limited

You make it possible

First, turbotax is a great product. It make it possible for a reasonably intelligent person to do their own taxes.
I really liked how you improved Schedule D entry. Now if only I could import the information directly from an excel spreadsheet.
Sometimes an item gets entered as a check box in a long sequence in the easy-step interview. There is no way to view or edit the entry without repeating the whole sequence. Also, sometimes the check box does not show checked when it was. Very awkward. Why can't the info be displayed in grid/spreadsheet format for easy entry, viewing, and editing?
Error check is very helpful.
What's great about it: I really liked the improved Schedule D entry..
What's not so great: Difficulty accessing already entered information for viewing/edit
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

I ended up doing it almost all over again because TT requires that I dummy up a federal return for each spouse do that the program sees an individual income and deduction set of information. It should instead figure all that out from enhanced pages where such data is requested. Pathetic.

Anxious filer

Perhaps not the fault of Turbo Tax but the disparate codes you find on W2s make you concerned that it is being handled the correct way.
What's great about it: Takes you step by step.
What's not so great: Unsure of how to handle some of the odd codes provided on W2

Got Nickel and Dimed

Turbo tax works as it has in the past with the exception of being able to fill out my own forms. The software required me to upgrade to the premiere version. I already know how to complete the forms, did not think it was fair to charge more for me to do that without your help. As a past user for many years, I think I will look for another product next year.
What's not so great: Had to upgrade version to edit the forms I could fill out myself.
