Program works fine. I would need more usage to criticize it and maybe not even then. Thanks!!!
What's great about it: Patient and knowledgeable help when badly needed
What's not so great: 58 pages to copy my return - Are those deductible?

Good but errors detected

I missed checking that I had no W-2 income in Federal return when I first started my state. I changed it repeatedly and saved the return, but could not get that to the state return. I was repeatedly ask for business expenses, union dues, etc. I checked the box to exclude these forms but they still printed out in the forms required for state filing.
What's great about it: Info transferred from last year and from Federal return to State return.
What's not so great: Changes in Federal did not flow to state return.

This customer did not provide a text review.
What's great about it: Turbo takes you through all the tax prepration steps, not much fun but through.
What's not so great: Federal taxes are unnecessally complex and should be simplified.

I really found Turbo Tax to make it easy to do my taxes and feel like I did them right! They have many resources for me to go to if I do have questions, I'm a procrastinator as you can see by the date on this review. Just finished them! Thanks to this program I can get them done in only the time it takes to get my paperwork together. I have used Turbo Tax for years and its always improving!
What's great about it: Ease of use, plenty of Resources for your Questions!
What's not so great: A little slow at downloading.

Fine print is too hard on my eyes!
on April 14, 2015

There is a lot of fine print to read with my old eyes. I love using the "Text to Speech" feature in Mac OS X to read the fine pint so that I can BOTH MY EARS AND EYES to read the fine print!
BUG REPORT: I can't highlight any text in TurboTax so that my computer can speak it to me! This hurts my eyes!
DO THIS: Using Mac OS X 10.9.5, go to System Preferences: Dictation and Speech:Text to Speech, then select System Voice = Alex, set Speaking Rate = Fast, check "Speak selected text when the key is pressed", and press "Change Key..." to see which keystroke you need to press. (I love using F19 for this.).
NEXT: Using a web browser, highlight some ordinary text, and press the activation key (possibly F19). Now avert your eyes and let them rest while Alex reads the fine print to you.
You can understand the text, even when it is too tiny to read by eye.
Remember, a thousand words speak a thousand words! Add some audio!
What's great about it: Accurate return
What's not so great: Hard to read the fine print

Very Good Product

I have been using TurboTax ever since they started the program using small floppy disks. I've always marveled at how easy they make it and each year it gets better. Only one year did I have a problem with the state form and that was when I had to file for 2 different states. Could not find the second state on the floppy disk. Other than that, I highly recommend the program.
What's great about it: Very Easy to Use
What's not so great: Once you start entering information into a form and it is not the correct form, you cannot delete it.

Good but not easy enough
on April 14, 2015

Liked the transfer of financial data from banks and brokers. K-1 function never work correctly without manual correction of data on form and worksheets. Many worksheets do not display, even in the forms mode. Error checking references worksheet entries that have are not applicable to the data enter via easy steps.
Still a good product, but you need to fix the K-1 nonsense.
What's great about it: Importing of data
What's not so great: K-1 input never works right (6 years in a row)
Pros: I bought or sold investments
