Love Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is so very easy to do. It's easy to understand and there is great help if you need it. I have used Turbo Tax since the early 1990's except for 2 years where I used a CPA. I am back and wouldn't do my taxes any other way!
What's great about it: simple, easy, great help

Another costly year

GOOD
What's great about it: system is very easy
What's not so great: one company did not give me a Payers state number. Turbot went into cardiac arrest...until I entered notgiven.

At Ease and Pleased

I've used Turbo Tax for years and trust it more than going to a stranger to get taxes done. It is also nice to do it in my own home at my own pace.
I appreciate the common "lingo" regarding the complex tax format and the quick on-screen answers to questions along the way.
The basic cost is quite affordable, as are the optional products offered.
I really hate tax time, but at least I've been able to manage my returns with minimal stress over the years. Wish I had started earlier this year, but in spite of my procrastination, I was able to complete the return in a couple of days, thus meeting the deadline. Thanks Turbo Tax

What's great about it: It's clear step-by-step format makes it easy to organize paperwork and enter data. Good explanations.
What's not so great: Had a bit of trouble moving from state back to federal in order to make a correction

What's not so great: K-1 boxes containing letters but no numbers produced error. Warn about this.

Better than ever

As a long time TurboTax user, I have seen this application improve every year. At this point, it is pretty much flawless. Great product!
What's great about it: Easy. Error free operation, useful help articles
What's not so great: none

Good, but. . .!

Putting in contribution amounts used to give immediate results in the amount of tax shown, even if it was only a small amount. Now one must put in all the contributions and then press done before any deduction in the tax is displayed. There is no longer the good feeling of seeing the tax amount go down with each entry -- just psychological, but still rewarding. Does not stop me from recommending Turbo Tax, but why change what worked before?

Easy after Data Gathering

Have used TurboTax for years for relatively uncomplicated tax preparation and filing. Some tax regulations and forms can be complex and the software does not always provide an understanding of the requirements. Overall the TurboTax does a great job and smooths the decision making.
What's great about it: Up-to-date regulations; steps you through the preparation; consolidates the data and does to math; eases filing.
What's not so great: Unusual financial activities and transactions require more advanced software and decision making
