Very good but some surprises

I was put off by the pricing change, but more put off by the 1099-B surprise. I was glad the upgrade was free and easy after I had invested plenty of time in the deluxe.
As before, I liked the lead-me with the option to change views and methods, all predictably organized and using my last year information.
I was confused by both buttons going to the same initial screen when starting to review deductions. I stopped there, wrote a bug report and walked away. The next day I experimented by doing my contributions review on the initial screen, and indeed, then I could manage the review myself. Not intuitive.
What's great about it: Predictable order and organization
What's not so great: Some user interface deterioration

Thorough, but stocks more complicated this year

Stock investments were easier in prior years. if you don't read through all the variations of types of incentive stock, you can make a very costly mistake. Once you find the right menu path option, it is very good.
What's great about it: Comprehensive if you dig through all menu options
What's not so great: Stock investments are trickier

I've been using TurboTax since the mid 90s. For me the devil I know is better than the devil I don't.

What's not so great: There a many spots where questions remain and are not easily answered. The previous versions of turbo tax were better.
