I enjoy the ease of following the steps in Turbo Tax but I did get stalled on the direct deposit page. There was no continue button till my third tray. I finally was able to get though by pretending to re enter the already correct information, then the continue button appeared. The email help center had trouble addressing my problem. I was delayed in filling till the 14th because of this which may make my acceptance date for e-file the 16th. I hope the Transaction sent date works as my sent date for the IRS.
What's great about it: the easy way to go though steps
What's not so great: It stalls on the direct deposit stage.

Took an hour or more to resolve the hang issue. From on-line comments, this was common.
What's great about it: Most entries were staright-forward and easy to understand
What's not so great: Program hung loading updates for state form
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have used tubrotax for many years and enjoyed the ease and completeness of the software. Beats the heck out of filling out confusing forms.
What I don't like is that you as a company support all other operating systems except Linux (Ubuntu). Which is now my prefered system. I either will have to buy a problamatic Windows system for doing taxes or pay someone else to do my taxes in the future. How hard could it be.......

Efficient Tax Preparation

I've been using Turbo Tax to prepare my taxes for approx. 20 years and it has never failed me.
What's great about it: Like the guided tax preparation with the prompting of the previous years taxes.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Have been using TuborTax for 20 Years and love it. Itell everyone how easy it is . step by step Instructions. i can't compare it to others i have not used theirs I was a bit disappointed that i had to move up to Premier Deluxe worked fine for me.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: liked Deluxe but had to use Premier

Great Features, but Getting Too Expensive

While TT is the best product, it may have priced itself out of range for a large number of users. What used to be covered by Basic level, now requires "Investment & Rental Property" version at over three times the cost. That level of cost is not competitive with other capable products. If this is not addressed, I will not be a repeat customer for 2015.
What's great about it: Ease of use. Covers all scenarios I need.
What's not so great: Tremendous increase in cost for same features as Basic program before 2014 issue.

Can't live without it!

I have, over the 50+ years of filing my taxes, used many tax accountants, struggled through the forms myself, and finally tried TurboTax. I have been using the software for several years with total confidence and satisfaction. I recommend it without reservation. No matter how complicated or simple your returns are, there is a TurboTax version to match. As mine became more convoluted (after we both retired), the software identified the upgrade needed and the price was right. TurboTax saved me a lot of money and grief over the years.
What's great about it: My taxes are relatively simple but our tax system is too complex. TurboTax saves me year after year.
What's not so great: None
