I could not find a way to get back to make it possible for my wife to have permission to respond to questions from the IRS. I thought I gave permission when going through EasyStep but on the return the permission was not there.
What's great about it: Federal return is fairly easy to follow.
What's not so great: Hard to find where to go if you have to go back and add/correct things.

Turbo-Tax

Very good and generally easy to use correctly. Having used H&R block's program once this one is very much easier and gives better results.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and gets maximum refund or least payment
What's not so great: Occasionally I have to go back to add or correct items

Good tool

Good product
What's great about it: accurate, pretty straight-forward, can temporarily save versions for next year scenarios, can skip to desired sections
What's not so great: Capital gains must be done with separate TurboTax product; edit of previous entries still require same yes/no follow-on

Quick and Simple

I actually find that Turbo Tax makes doing taxes easy once you have all the information together. I do wish that in the charity donation section that even though it allows you to arrange the list in alphabetical order for viewing that it would keep them in that order after items are edited or new charities added. Con follow up. I wish they would explain when an item listed in deductions such as property tax does not actually lead to a deduction. On one hand the program is all excited that you are getting this deduction then does not explain why it had no impact.

Very good product

Overall the product is very easy to use and reasonably priced and I can do it in my own home without carrying a lot of paperwork around and waiting in line for someone else to do it.
What's great about it: I've used Turbo-Tax for more than 15 years and I have enjoyed its ease of use.
What's not so great: I was disappointed and surprised that Turbo-Tax wanted to charge me an additional amount.

Great for Federal

This year's software was really good for my federal, but only fair for my state [Arizona]. One thing I REALLY hate in this year's version is that you can't bounce back and forth from the guided method to forms [which was REQUIRED by the software in some cases]. After viewing a form you were NOT automatically returned to the previous page. This has not been the case every year. Despite that, I will probably use TurboTax again next year.
What's great about it: Import from brokerage.
What's not so great: When you need to view a form, the software does not return you to your previous screen----very, very maddening
