Filing is not so easy

I tried so many times to get out paying the extra fees and support was already done for the day and after 2 hours finally was successful. This should not be so difficult and was not this difficult in the past....
What's great about it: Preparing wasn't too bad
What's not so great: Filing took almost 2 hours instead of 10 minutes

I recommend using the automatic data transfer for my financial, stock transactions. Make filing returns easy and accurate

minimized tax time

i wish Intuit would fix the royalties reporting for turbo tax. the royalties in turbo tax are for true royalties and not for energy companies that ALSO normally issue payment of royalties. which always causes an error when the import of financial info (like from Fidelity) is downloaded. this bug has been in turbo tax for at least the past 2 yrs.
What's great about it: easy transfer of data from turbo tax to turbo tax
What's not so great: had to upgrade from deluxe to premier cuz of a schedule b
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Deluxe didn't do it all

Made doing taxes a simple process. Helpful guidance every step of the way.
What's great about it: Very easy to use. Took no time at all to complete my taxes.
What's not so great: Did not include Schedule K-1.

I went through the filing fine, but it didn't like the Jr. in my name...kept resorting back to it.

Loved that all our rentals and info about them that I entered last year popped up this year and I didn't have to search through old taxes to enter the same info I was having to enter every year.
What's great about it: Brought up all my info that in the past I had to enter
What's not so great: That it wouldn't let me delete errors in my review

Worse every year

Every year the price goes up, even the e-filing fees (absurd, but without a printer what can I do - my return is too complicated to fill out on the state website.) Taxpayers - we can insist that this be free! Contact your representatives! Also, even though more and more banks offer electronic records, most of my accounts are not available for direct import of tax data. Only a few "partners", still, Turbotax? Get with it, for the price I paid this thing should be able to download from ING, anyone, by now. Honestly, I don't think the list of "partners" has increased in the last 4 years. I won't buy Turbotax again.
What's great about it: interface is relatively simple
What's not so great: Cost; limited importing ability
