Dad made me do my own taxes

My Dad insisted I do my own taxes (by hand) when I was 16; my first job. I have been doing them ever since. I ALWAYS use TurboTax, and even did before it became TurboTax.
What's great about it: Catches everything for me
What's not so great: Some of the weirder stuff comes from forms, but not explained entirely.

Good program, very hard not to spend more money

You say you can file family returns for states free. You make it very hard to do. If you want return business. You better start advertising on the package in the store what it will do . And what it will not do. You used to be able to look at package, and it told you. This year package told you very little. you get it home and you wanted an up grade to do a very simple return. I think you owe your loyal customer a big apology. List what the program can do on the box. You do not need 5 version 2 should be more ten enough.
What's great about it: Easy data entry
What's not so great: Poor back end printing and filing taxes

1 Hour - Done!

My second year of using this. Wish I had started earlier. No running around trying to find forms or trying to locate forms on line. Everything is right in one place. If I leave something out, the program lets me know before I file.
What's great about it: Easy to understand directions, checks your work for errors.
What's not so great: Seems too easy to be true.

2014 Deluxe

I was glad you reversed course on the Deluxe product. I need Schedule D and my return is not overly complicated. I should not have to buy an expensive and elaborate software package to do my taxes. I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I will not keep using it if I can not get the forms I need in Deluxe at a resoanble price.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: removal of forms
