Used this tool for over 10 years now.....don't believe there is any competitor that can challenge this.

Last Turbo Tax worked well. This year was poor. I was unable to file my daughter's return because it rejected an employer federal ID number which was accepted last year. On my return it kept asking for information for a worksheet that appeared to be nonexistent and kept me from filing electronically. Also on my SC return it improperly overstated my tax payments when transferring and there was no way to correct.
I am very displeased with my 2014 Turbo Tax experience.

Removes the pain

I have been using turbo tax for 35 years, I would not do my taxes any other way. The interview process should be the model for other software packages.Great job.
What's great about it: Import last year info makes the process painless.

TT Premier without Sch C??? really not good

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. The attemp tto extort long-time users this year is inexcusable. Silly Intuit for Excluding basic forms in various versions this year. My understanding is that I should have a free upgrade to get missing Schedule, but that didn't seem to be working so I filled out Schedule C (for a small side business) manually this year (for the first time).
What's great about it: Faster to complete than prior years
What's not so great: Missing Schedule C

Love the tool.
What's great about it: Saving me stress and hours. Reliable and gets better each year.
What's not so great: The idiot profing sort of prevents me from developing the expertise to planning my own tax strategy for future.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy peasy

I love turbotax. The process is so easy. I started using turbotax when I realized that by collecting the information for the accountant I was pretty much doing everything except punching in the numbers. The first year I used turbotax I also had my account do them. We were exactly the same, so I have done my own taxes ever since. It's like follow the bouncing ball.
What's great about it: walks me through the process

What's not so great: I cannot choose to efile Federal but to mail State without backing up to change both settings.
