One thing that happens is that not all of the walk-throughs have explinations of thier material. For example. when asked if I had any Schedule A items, I had to look up what that meant. Maybe adding an explanation link, or saying that I did an itemized deduction or a standard deduction the previous year, on that page would help.
What's great about it: Walked me through the forms well
What's not so great: A few of the walk-throughs had items that were not explained well.

Bigger refunds

This is the second year I have used Turbo Tax Deluxe. It is much easier than I thought it would be.
What's great about it: Regular confirmation that my entries were correct.
What's not so great: Some forms not clear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

JKL 2014 TurboTax Review

Great software, in general. I see no provisions for people still working on one job but drawing pension from another. Also, even though I received a substantial refund this year, effectively equaling the total quarterly taxes TurboTax had me send in last year, TurboTax still calculates that I should pay significant quarterly taxes in addition to my normal pay tax withholding. There seems to be an ongoing flaw here, year to year.
What's great about it: Smooth, easy, straight-forward
What's not so great: Quarterly tax payment calculations appear to be wrong - always far too high

I still enjoy using Turbo Tax because of the transfer of information from year to year. I also hope that the desktop versions will continue to be available in future years. I have been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years now and have never had major issues.
What's great about it: Great Guidance through the tax issues I had for the year.
What's not so great: Issues with electronic filing of state return.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and would not handle my taxes any other way.
What's great about it: super easy and quick
What's not so great: title of software changed. I was a little confused regarding what to buy
