I like using turbo tax. its simple to understand and easy to use. following along with the guide also helps me organize my paperwork as I make progress
What's great about it: easy to follow, explanation windows helped
What's not so great: There was some typos in explanations.

Except for the marketing error regarding the software, TurboTax again was easy to use.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

have used for more than 5 yrs now and I love it every year; sometimes I owe, but most times, am able to find deductions that I did not know about; easy with E filing and direct deposit; I just look forward to that direct deposit going right into my account with me not having to do anything; I would not use any other brand of tax prep out there
What's great about it: step by step instructions are great!
What's not so great: wish I could transfer deductions to different organization without having to delete

I am very upset that the deluxe does not cover investments sold this year as it did in past years. I will definitely be looking for an alternative program next year. It is a shame as I have been using Turbo Tax for over a decade.

Cost of state e-filing should be made known at time of deciding whether to e-file or not.
Better state income tax helps should be in place.

What's great about it: Generally smooth flowing.
What's not so great: Montana State allocations not explained. Cost of e-filing not revealed until after signing up for such.

It was still the best product for doing taxes, but in the past it was a better value. This year it did not come with one free state product. Also, I had to download an update to do a rental that normally came with the product included.
