Turbo Tax Overview

Biggest complaint: Turbo Tax asks the filer to enter detailed data on potential deductions "before" determining if the filer's income meets or exceeds the IRS rules on claiming the deduction. Since the filer normally enters income data prior to requesting a particular deduction, a notice should be provided stating whether a filer's income exceeds (or meets) the rules on claiming the deduction. A "don't bother" note would save a lot of time.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax Fills out all the necessary forms
What's not so great: Turbo Tax is cumbersome

When a user has an existing Turbo Tax for 2013 and its brought over for Tax Year 2014 the program should only request info on what the previous year shows and then ask if there are any additions. It was very frustrating to answer questions for something that was not required or necessary for my return and kepp YoYo-ing back and forth to the breakdown page

Great Experience Every Year

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years. It has handled my tax situation from the time my kids were little to handling education expenses for college. I have a variety of investments and Turbo Tax makes it easy to take care of them.
I went to an accountant for a couple years when my tax situation got more complicated and he said based on my preparation he would hire me to help with taxes. My preparation was that I used Turbo Tax. I realized I didn't need an accountant and I have stayed with Turbo Tax ever since.
Thanks for such a great product!
What's great about it: Investments, Education

Turbotax does everything I need it to do, and pulling in prior years info is a huge timesaver. My only gripe is that on a small laptop I'm constantly mousing around to move to the botom of a page so I can advance to the next page.
What's great about it: handled every situation I had
What's not so great: there should be an easier way to move to the next screen on a small laptop

Frustrated

Had difficulty listing my government insured pension.
Questions did not apply to my pension from a bankrupt
steel mill. I could not answer some of the questions.
