Excellent software

I have no idea how TT figured out the US tax codes, but i'm glad they did. My taxes are not that easy to file but TT made it simple. I always use TT so my information from previous years are automatically applied to the current year.
What's great about it: easy to follow, easy to file
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Easy and Issues Ironed Out By April

My advice is to keep an eye on their product line going forward. If you have investment income and it no longer is covered in future versions, then that will cause headaches.
Otherwise, TurboTax is just a great, easy-to-use product for every bit of my tax planning and filing from income, deductions, donations, etc.
What's great about it: TurboTax is very easy to use and steps you through everything you could possibly need
What's not so great: They had a rough year and tried to break up their product into more levels. Happily this was fixed by the time I filed.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

strange thing happened this year all the way my state return showed tax refund over $200.00 until I started working on it, and then changed into tax due, although i did not change any numbers yet. Very strange. It leaved me in doubt.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: not sure in accuracy of calculations done by turbo tax

Repeated Rejection
on April 13, 2015
Posted by: govegas
TurboTax twice reported that IRS rejected the same return; however, a direct conversation with an IRS representative reviewed the rejection reason and replied that IRS had not rejected the return. In fact IRS found no basis for a rejection. With only two days left before the filing deadline I'm contacting IRS again to see if there is now a valid reason for the second rejection before I mail the return.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: two rejections even though IRS replied it never received a return to reject

Taxes Made Simple
on April 13, 2015

I've used TurboTax for years. It's a constant help to dealing with the ever-complicated tax code. I've always found the software easy to use and am usually able to go through a fairly complicated return in just a few hours.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: None that I could think of
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Another year of taxes done!! Thanks TurboTax

Two big criticisms:
First: Please do some updating of the "entry screens". Move the buttons closer to the action. By this I mean "continue, done, next" are always down in the lowest corner of the screen which requires scrolling up and down. Please move the buttons closer to the action!
Second: Once a person clicks on a choice keep the choice even if the person goes back to review that section -- I find it a pain to have to go thru and select the same answer repeatedly (if I go back to that section.)
That said -- hopefully not sounding like spoiled baby ... I'll be back next year!
What's great about it: Still the good stuff I have become used to for more than 10 years
What's not so great: Give a little extra help with the TOUGH stuff like AMT, home sales, depreciation

Turbo Tax 2014
on April 13, 2015

Would like to be able to do simple math in the cells that request a numeric result: e.g., 121.20+25.30
I find that it takes a long time for TurboTax to update itself.
When I restart a return, I'm not placed exactly back to where I left off, but usually have to click through a bunch of screens to get to exactly where I stopped.
Arrow keys do not seem to move the cursor from entry box to entry box.
What's great about it: Getting better
What's not so great: Slow to update, clunky interface
