Overcharged charged twice

I wouldn't use this product, they have hidden fee's that aren't shown till your ready to file.
What's great about it: Have used for years no problems
What's not so great: This year I have been chaged twice for state returns a then charged again to file return would not use again.

payment issue

I have been a long time Deluxe user and my status and income categories have not changed but I was forced to upgrade, for free, to Premier. When trying to pay on my Mac I couldn't get a payment screen for either the upgrade or e-filling state fee. Kept getting a "payment session has timed out" screen. Took nearly two hours to get through these issues for me and my son. Luckily your phone service agents are pleasant and helpful, or my experience would move me to a different product.
What's great about it: Great help service ont he phone once we got a call back
What's not so great: mandatory update to Premium and Frustrating issue with not being able to pay with a credit card for efiling state

OK. Turbo Tax makes me look good. However at end there was news of criminal activity that was disconcerting. Am I at the end?

I could not reset my password because I do not know what nickname I have on file for my oldest (and only) child. I do not have a nickname for her. I never have as I like her name as it is just fine. Likewise that is probably the worst security question there could possibly be. I wanted to get Audit protection but because logging in kept failing because I could not answer this question in order to reset my password and there was no Chat or phone support I had to opt out.
What's great about it: Working through was fine
What's not so great: trying to login into INTUIT account very poor

Easy Peasy

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years now. I like the fact that it can pull information automatically from previous year's tax information so that all I have to do is update items. I like that the program offers helpful tips and explanations for things I might have questions about. Easier and cheaper than paying an accountant if your tax returns are pretty straightforward.
What's great about it: I like the way Turbo Tax has the option to walk me through each step or a let me enter things myself.

Disapointed

I have used Turbo Tax for years and always used the Deluxe version. I like the fact that I can re-import information year after year and have the security of being able to store my returns on my own computer instead of the cloud.
However, after my purchase I found out I had to purchase Premier to get forms I needed that have already been in Deluxe. I was already into the preparation and felt I was forced to do so. It's a quality product, but next year, I will do more homework before purchasing tax preparation software.
What's great about it: Easy to prepare taxes
What's not so great: Had to pay extra to upgrade to get all forms

Simply Simple

Every year you make Turbo Tax better. I've been a customer for years and wouldn't ever think of switching. We do the kids taxes and ours and it's so easy. The added State filing makes figuring out the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Non-Resident form a whole lot better - I used to do it manually and it's brutal.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax has always made the stress of fiiling taxes a lot easier. I don't have to be a legal pro to understand it
