First Time Disappointed

Very disappointed in this year's program. WE could not encrypt our returns. When we tried, program froze up and all data was lost. We had to start returns over each time. I tried returning the original copy we purchased, but the second copy did the same thing. We have used Turbo Tax for many years. This is the first time we had such a serious problem.
Also, we could not save anything to the Turbo Cloud. When we tried, the program froze again.
What's great about it: easy to follow interview; good sequencing of info gathering
What's not so great: Program wouldn't encrypt tax files. Program Froze up whenever we tried.

The one issue that is bothersome and should be easier is the locating of data from one file to another. The classic example is completing a return for a dependent that is <21 and has income that requires the parent's return for specific information.
Why can't this be done behind the scene? Just identify the parent's return and go.
What's great about it: It is terrific!
What's not so great: Some "what if" analysis would be helpful such as IRAs, etc.

Easy, peezee, lemon squeezy!

My computer hard drive crashed 10 days before taxes were due and I did not have a copy of the last TEN years of Turbo-tax files. Yet, it still was easy to get through it and in a few hours I am done.....YEAH!
What's great about it: Easy questions, entries, do-overs, reviews, checks...all of it!
What's not so great: Have to scroll down to each section on the page as you proceed through it.

Turbo Tax is a great way to do returns

I have been using TurboTax for many years. I love Turbo Tax and recommend it to everyone.
Having said that, this year it was a little slower than normal AND the fees for file state returns add up if you are filing for the family (us, and each kid).
It still seems to be the best choice.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: This year was a little slower
