Appreciate the Attention to Detail!

Appreciated the attention to detail on Turbo Tax. Felt confident with their knowledge base in areas of need.
What's great about it: Appreciated the carry through to state returns
What's not so great: Would like a more detailed help screen for the ND return

Been using turbo Tax for more than 20 years

My tax form is somewhat straightforward year after year. I was disappointed that the Basic Turbo Tax program for 2014 did not cover my tax situation which was exactly the same in 2013. However, I was extremely satisfied with the way Turbo Tax handled the situation. Hopefully the Basic program for 2015 will have the capability to complete my "basic" tax return.
What's great about it: Simple to use - step by step directions
What's not so great: Items in the error report copuldhave been avoinded if certain questions were asked durinfg the step-by-step processd

ETF Investments

My ETF investment has 208 pages of Form 8949 details. I see nothing that addresses that issue in Turbo Tax Premier. There seems to be no way to attach the PDF file that includes that detail and I am not about to manually add the sales/gains
What's great about it: year-after-year transfer of personal and financial data
What's not so great: Does not adequately address ETF investments with a substantle number of gain/loss data

I love the product and feel as though I am processing correctly..like the follow up if you have screwed up somewhere.
Really like the process that tells me I am low for audit..that I fall within an acceptable range...

I like the time I saved if i had to do Taxes myself and the peace of mind knowing all calcs are correct. The error checking of my forms are great as now I know I did not miss something that may have flagged my return by the IRS.
What's great about it: Ease of useand time save if I did my taxes manual.
What's not so great: Could not use Turbo Tax Deluxe this year.

Stress reducer

Over the years, the IRS Code has become increasingly complex. Turbo Tax can deal with the awkward IRS language, the weird exceptions to the exceptions, and filling in all the necessary entries.
I could not do my taxes without its help. I am always grateful for its guidance.

Disappointed

I've used TT for years and this year was awful. After it had problems and I had to get the free upgrade I still had other issues. When I was looking it over and wondering why it showed I hadn't paid state taxes I discovered that it never asked me about them. I also got 2 different answers on a penalty calculation. I am now wary of using it next year.

What's not so great: Inconsistency
