Don't tell us this version does a trust if you can't make a program that navigates the process. It was useless for that purpose. I am highly disappointed for the price I paid.
What's great about it: Calculated basic itemized personal taxes
What's not so great: Tried to do a trust. Nothing "intuit"Ive about it. Had to bail out and do the trust manually

TurboTax is an ecosystem. The interface is interview-style. For those of us that skip around, find it easy to drop into the driver's seat for any feature. I wish Quicken import still worked. But the TurboTax experience has remained the same for many years.
What's great about it: For repeat customers, smooth transition year to year.
What's not so great: Doesn't benefit from relationship with Quicken
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Cost to much. Will probably switch next year. Some of the review questions and other items hard to understand so wanted to look at the form, but sometimes are to correlate to the form on Turbo Tax
What's not so great: hard to get to some of the info for questions asked..? A few items not explained and had to fill in info but hard to fi

The state cost should be explained and known before jumping in with both feet. I like to know all the facts before I begin.
I will not do the state form in the future, I am thinking, but overall do like using Turbo Tax, and have used it for federal forms for manyh years.
What's great about it: I like importing from my financial inst. and having instant access to last year.'s info.
What's not so great: I thought the State form was included in the premier pkg. I was shockd at the extra cost. I could easily have done that

Less confidence in 2014 TurboTax for Mac
on April 13, 2015

I updated my Mac OS to Yosemite so I could run TurboTax for 2014. TurboTax ran OK and imported my previous year's tax data, but some of it was wrong. I manually corrected some of it, and eventually found the "override" command on the Edit menu and was able to change some other fields to match the printed copy of what TurboTax filed for 2013. This is important because when I e-filed, TurboTax had filled in a wrong amount for my 2013 AGI to confirm my identity with the IRS. It was easy to manually correct this number, and I was able to e-file. The IRS just accepted my return so maybe it's all OK. I don't know if any of this mattered, but it leaves me less confident in my 2014 return. Time will tell...
What's great about it: Worked well, as always
What's not so great: Imported data from previous returns was wrong
Pros: I bought or sold investments
