Saves time

Useful tool but becoming expensive. Will be looking at alternatives.
What's great about it: Quick and intuitive
What's not so great: costs extra to efile state return

Fairly easy to use but may be a little repetitive in some places
What's great about it: thorough--not hard to use
What's not so great: Couldn't find the 2013 return on my computer--made it a little harder

Solid as always

I have used TT for several decades (after first writing my own tax program based on unix shell for a couple of years. I have never had TT fail to work reliably and never lead me into tax/audit problems.

Quick, but irritating at the end

Most features work very well, indeed, and it's nice to be able to file electronically. However, the software didn't recognize my signin for an account I created in previous years, even though I know my signin info was correct (because I copied it from a stored file). TurboTax made me create a new account in order to pay a state efiling fee, then said it was sending confirmations of tax filing status to a defunct email address associated with my original TurboTax account, which TT did not recognize! Very, very frustrating!!!
What's great about it: Good guidance, comprehensive reviews, quick calculations
What's not so great: Sent confirmations to wrong email address

It seemed to take almost the same amount of time to file as when I filed by hand.

Generally easy to use. liked ability to download info from financial institutions.
unclear source of warning message about duplicate downloads from same financial institution-- account numbers not indicated?
not sure 1099-R distributions were handled correctly wrt. taxable and not taxable amounts.
no price break even though I have used TT for many years.

Great Product

Your product just keeps getting easier to use each year. Incorporation of the previous year get better and saves time.
TurboTax works hard to make the product better each year and easier to use. My hat is off to everyone. In my estimation the best tax filling product on the market, and I have used other on the market.

Year 2 With Turbo Tax

When making the decision to efile or mail the filing, the solution should let you know that there will be an additional cost.
What's great about it: Loved the info coming immediately from prior year
What's not so great: 1) Should be more analysis available (e.g next tax bracket), 2) help is too complex wording
