I have used the "Forms" method for years with reasonable success. However, the tax laws become progressively more complex (tax simplification?) Accordingly, it would be helpful if TurboTax might include in their preamble a summary of yearly changes, and how they might be reflected within the program.
A great job otherwise!
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

I will be looking at alternatives next year. Some of the directions are not clear, but I absolutely detest having to re-enter data when I review my entries. Examples include stock purchase dates and some of the other stock miscellaneous entries.
Also, when a filed field, e.g wages does not match the W2, it is very frustrating trying to figure out why. And when I was looking, trying to figure this out, the dependent care field all of a sudden had a $0 value in it. It took a while to figure out that I just needed to delete the 0 and make sure it was blank, even though I did not enter the figure to begin with.
What's great about it: The interview is helpful
What's not so great: I hate the fact that some information that is entered disappears when I go to review it such as the date stock is bought

Easy

I have used Turbo Tax software for many years and have usually found it to be easy to use, user friendly.
What's great about it: Return is easy as prior year's information carries forward without additional input.
What's not so great: I wanted to mail federal return and email state return and had difficulty verifying that I did so.

gambling winnings are horrendous to enter!!

I had 75 1099-G's to enter. Most compulsive gamblers are repeat customers. Why don't you have the basic information default(or autofill# when a new 1099 is entered. #casino name, address, tax id, phone, etc. It would be easier to override a default than to type in the same information over and over.

K-1 input needs lots of work and sale of rental needs better guidance. Shouldn't have to search the internet for help with turbotax
What's great about it: otherwise excellent
What's not so great: K-1 input needs lots of work
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

The almost complete guide to taxes

Health deductions section only minimally addresses Retiree Health Reimbursement Accounts and how they are treated in FIT and SIT. Could ask what the RHRA was used to offset on the medical expenses section. Had to go to Pub 969 and other references to figure out how to handle. Still not 100% sure.
What's great about it: Comprehensive set of forms available with ease and good guidance
What's not so great: Little focus on the Social Security/Medicare users
Pros: I bought or sold investments
