I have used Turbo Tax since its inception. Always loved it until this year. Very disappointed that in NY I can't e-file state and mail Federal. I am forced to get forms from Library and mail in NY return. Will rethink about using Turbo next year.

I love have Turbo Tax transfer all of last year's info into the current years forms. Helps me remember things I did not think of.

Best Turbo tax Premier ever. Told me exactly where I needed to go. Done my tax pretty fast and this year the most entries, too. Thanks.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I did not like some of the changes made this year. Did not like not being able to see last year's information detail. I did not like seeing only a summary.

Easy to use

What's great about it: Fast and easy to use.
What's not so great: I use WIndows Xp and had alot of difficulty filing my returns and could not sign up for Audit Defense

Dependent Problems

We had our taxes rejected because one of our three (3) dependent college students claimed them self when they filed their taxes. Our option was to delete a dependent or file by mail. The Problem:
There was no indication as to which of our three dependents claimed them self so it would have been guess work as to which one to delete. With two out of three away at school, it's took several hours to track down the culprit and have him file an amended return, not us removing a dependent. It would be helpful to provide a better solution to the two options you gave us (delete a dependent or file our return by mail).

Complex Tax Return? Use TurboTax Premier!

I have used TurboTax since before it was called "TurboTax"
It has gotten easier to use almost every year.
I was not looking forward to doing my taxes this year because I retired and had some complex things I did including changing my Financial Advisor and consequently the custodian of our funds. The auto automatic transfer of financial information when I had to sell everything and reinvest it at another firm was a snap to accomplish.
I also assisted my daughter in a nasty divorce and the ability to do several "what ifs" for her was very helpful to her in making her selection of what was best for her and our grandchildren going forward.
This was the easiest tax return I have done in a long time!

Taxes painful every year, less bad with TurboTax

Long time TurboTax user, with one year in the middle with Brand X. Never again will go Brand X.
TurboTax guidance and math checks through the return are invaluable.
I will admit as my return becomes more complex, I'm getting closer to having the taxes done for me.
What's great about it: Walk through step by step and guidance on what goes where
What's not so great: Nickel and dime, required upgrade to premium and state filing fees.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
