Done TurboTax for years. Works fine every time.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: Doesn't give enough examples for things like "Is OPM Annuity gross distribution" taxable, or is it a qualified distro

Turbotax has my local tax return in the program, but year after year it gets it wrong and I have to do it on my own by hand.
What's great about it: It is very easy to use, download data and use year after year.
What's not so great: Local tax return impossible to do on Turbotax.

Turbo 2014

I've used Turbo Tax for the last ten years; it always seems to make the task easier and gives me confidence that I have filed my taxes properly and correctly. I was a little put out this year that I had to go from Deluxe to Premiere because I had just one sale of stock. However Intuit upgraded me with no hassle. So overall I'm very pleased with using Turbo Tax again.
What's great about it: Easy to follow; pre-loaded info from last year's return; let's me work on taxes over a period of time
What's not so great: Updates seem to take a long time
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Works well

Premier version has a limited way of handling rental property that was only in use part year. It calculates deductions behind the scenes, based on total year deduction inputs. It automatically includes these deductions, split appropriately between Schedule E and Schedule A. But then, it asks the user for input for these same deductions for Schedule A again, yet telling the user it has already taken them into account ?!?! I had to redo Schedule A deductions in certain areas to make sure the numbers added up correctly. Turbo Tax tried to duplicate my mortgage and property tax deductions (nice, but hardly legal - lol).
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is relatively easy to use.
What's not so great: Rental property features can be confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not happy to have to use Premier in the future and pay more money. Also will that be what you automatically provide next year -- that is not clear. The Premier was harder to use than what the Deluxe had been before -- did n't match very well with my 1099s while the Deluxe worked better.
What's not so great: not happy that need to use the premier product for investments-- costs more money

Turbo Shortfalls

There should be a way to click a detail box to check how Turbo Tax is making its calculations - poor directions for 1099 R's when taxable amt is blank, no way to understand medical deduction calculation even in worksheets later, and WI Income adjustment for Long Term Care Insurance should have been handled on the WI return --- should not have had to ask a question and get an answer from another user and then have to go back to Federal,
What's not so great: No detail box to show calculations as you go, Lg Term Care Ins adj for WI was setup poorly
