SIMPLE AND SWEET

There's no artificial or prolonged characteristics - sweet and simple and professional. Instructions are clear; explanations of possible issues to the point; seems to cover every possibility (my return isn't complex); very easy to use format. Checked and double-checked for accuracy. And it's a good deal!
What's great about it: Only PROS - TurboTax highlights all the opportunities; makes clear the issues that may affect a deduction.
What's not so great: None

Have used for 15+ years. Give Intuit lots of credit for the freeversion upgrade to Deluxe.
What's great about it: Good Quick Calculations
What's not so great: K-1 form took lots of input to get right

Tax Filing Peace of Mind

I've used TurboTax for the past 20 years and have the highest confidence in the program with its step by step review and questions to complete the tax forms. For me, Turbotax is a very comprehensive and efficient method to complete my taxes each year. I actually enjoy using it and can't stop until I'm done with my taxes several hours later. Consider me a loyal TurboTaxer.
What's great about it: Excellent comprehenisve step by step tool

overall good, we've used it for several years, just found the rental vs owner vs home sale issue a bit confusing.
What's great about it: Led us through the process
What's not so great: the rental vs owner & how it was impacted by my home sale was a bit confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Pretty good this year

Overall my experience was excellent. I only want to draw attention to a couple of smaller issues that might have made the experience better!
1. The question on 1098 points amortization could have been worded better. I ended up answering it wrong but was not warned. Fortunately I caught it later when comparing this year's return line by line to last year's return manually.
2. The AMT section was tough to follow (albeit it is tough to follow anyway! )
3. I thought it was WEIRD that I was being congratulated that I owed no tax when in fact I applied my refund to next year's estimate. I think the application needs to consider that ...

What's great about it: Navigation is user-friendly, love the instantaneous status update. All went very smoothly.

Stress Reducer for Tax time

It is a great program that walks you through your tax forms. I'm just not sure if I might be missing something that I should be able to claim for a deduction or whatever. But it guides you through and makes many suggestions - sometime I'm just not sure if I'm saying no on something I might should say yes on.
What's great about it: Turbo tax is a user friendly, must have for tax season. Very easy to negotiate and understand.
What's not so great: Some of the information that I felt didn't apply to our situation was over my head. So I hope I'm not missing something

I will think twice before purchasing TT again. The fees for filing a state return are unnecessary and outrageously expensive after already paying for the software and the problems with having to upgrade because prior forms were no longer in Deluxe
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Fee for state filing is OUTRAGEOUS
