Overall, Turbo Tax affords the ability to keep all record entries in order and applies entries forward where applicable, which eases user of reshuffling of records to locate duplication of information. Turbo Tax also stores records and imports to following tax year, providing safe and accurate record keeping, and making next year easier to start.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax keeps all entered records in order & at your fingertips.
What's not so great: Some revisited sections need to be re-keyed.

I've been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years. Turbo Tax makes the chore of preparing our taxes much easier. I like the format of asking questions and the option to go through everything or just pick the ones I need.

You package gives me confidence I can plow through my tax process with minimal stress. Very straightforward process.
What's great about it: Guided tour with lots of back-up explanatory info.
What's not so great: AMT section caused a bit of confusion. Too bad you cannot import the capital gains info - took forever to hand load.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TIMESAVING IMPORTING

I am a retired Enrolled Agent with 25 years experience. I used and loved the Intuit Professional Program for years.
Turbo Tax in its simplicity for non professionals makes it difficult for me to use, and I have used it for 4 years now.
I wish there was a product somewhere between these two for others like me
What's great about it: The detail and completeness of importing from brokerage statements with many entries was extraordinary.
What's not so great: Missed the easy connection from the forms to the supporting data.

I have been using Turbo Tax for almost 20 years and love it. I have always bought the deluxe version because it was able to prepare virtually any return and form.in 2014 intuit decided to require a upgrade tp premiere for rental properties and capital gains. this increase the price by 42%. They did this without telling anyone clearly and forced you to buy and then hit you with the added cost after downloading and using the product, thus prohibiting you from buying a competitors product at a lower cost.
What's great about it: Does a great job of preparing returns.
What's not so great: Never told you the deluxe version didn't cover capital gains or rental, must up grade

This was the most disappointing performance I've had with TurboTax. I may not use in the future.
What's not so great: System made it impossible/unknown how to go back and undo certain selections. Confirming payment was difficult.
