The best option every year

FED/CA Tax

Required to buy a higher version (investing & Rental prop) this year due to changes in the versions. You removed features that were in last years version (deluxe) and put them in the next higher version = $$$$. I've been a long time user and I was thinking of changing software this year. We will see next year ......

Disappointed - I needed to upgrade to Premier

I have used Turbotax for over 15 years. This year I needed to upgrade from Deluxe (which I bought) to Premier (which I also had to buy). Then as a result, the free state download did not work, and I had to buy it. Finally, as a glitch with turbotax, the state forms downloaded into the Deluxe folder, not the Premier folder. Fortunately, I found someone's troubleshooting comments which told me to drag the state files into the Premier Forms directory. I have always praised turbotax, but not this year. I think your changes and problems cost me about $ 160 more than I had planned.
What's not so great: This cost me money and I lost the free state form.

Previously Loyal Customer for over 15 Years

I have been a loyal customer of Intuit Turbo Tax for 15+ years. This is the second time that I have been disappointed in that time. This year, I was forced to buy the more expensive version of the software due to investment income. I thought that I would at least get a great new capability -- wrong!
What's great about it: Integration with last year's data
What's not so great: Unhappy with being forced to buy the more expensive version this year

What's great about it: preloading last year info
What's not so great: No chats this year. Had to buy premier to file one stock sale

Easy

Easy to follow and quick to fill out forms.
What's great about it: Walks through everything. Don't need to be a finance person or accountant to understand the questions.
What's not so great: Could not bring personal information forward from a 2012 return to a 2014.
