Excellent, but!

I have been using Turbotax for many years now, and always liked the interview style of data gathering. This year TurboTax required a password to even start my local copy of the software running - then would not recognize it nor post the new version when I reset it. Attempted to get tech support by phone - unsuccessfully. Spent a couple of hours before succeeding to log in. Earlier versions of TurboTax would have garnered higher ratings.
I know the security is "for my own good" but a single password for intuit should include access to the intuit products purchased buy the account holder!

What's great about it: Interview style of data gathering is very helpful for us non-accountants.
What's not so great: Password system is confusing, possibly redundant and not helpful

Wish the State included free filing like the federal version. Wished the Deluxe version handled the investments.
Would be nice if more vendors can be accessed to import data from.
Easy to use and seemed to be very thourgh.

Taxes never fun!

A lot of people on Google are having trouble printing this year. Turns out, you have to download a newer version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to get it to work. After that, it was fine.
What's great about it: I like the interview process
What's not so great: Printing was a mess
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TT is a great product that we have been using for many years. Needed the "upgrade" which as an informed consumer was easily taken care through a quick phone call to TT-Sarah took great care of me-the customer:)
What's great about it: straight forward product
What's not so great: Will need to purchase the "upgraded" product next year

SO frustrating

WAY too much time/screens spent on obscure items and fairly complicated / time consuming to enter more typical items. VERY frustrating product.
What's great about it: relatively inexpensive
What's not so great: WAY too difficult to go back and correct/change, without starting topic over and repeating WAY too many screens

2015 TurboTax Premier

I changed state of resisdence at begining of 2014. When asked for the date of the change I input 1/1/2014. TurboTax wanted to have me as part time in two states which didn't make sence to me.
I had an inherited IRA that required me to take an RMD. The questions TurboTax asked were somewhat confusing.
I downloaded the 1099 composite from my brokerage but it was difficult to verify the inputs with my paper copy. I have to trust that TurboTax got it right.

What's great about it: Straight forward questions for someone who doesn't speak tax language.
What's not so great: Didn't seem as easy as last year.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
