Medical Insurance
on April 12, 2015

I am on Medicare but also get dental insurance from my LLP which is deducted from my income as a partner and therefore an above the line deduction. Altho the Medicare info was accepted, the dental shown on the K-1 was not so the total above the line medical insurance amount was $900 lower than it should have been, which increased my taxes by nearly $300 and therefore the cost of my using Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Overall the service was terrific and easy to use. An 8 out of 10

Hacked
on April 12, 2015

I hope that TurboTax is not a source for our private info being hacked. The people at IRS certainly see a trend that e-filers using TurboTax are the recurring victims. Seems like you would admit being the source if you were, but IRS clearly needs help and maybe your folks could help the whole industry by working with them to solve this huge problem.
What's great about it: Great at coaching through all the forms so we don't miss any details
What's not so great: Wish I could see AGI, actual forms throughout the process-maybe there is a way but not obvious
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

This year's program could not/would not access prior year files. Therefore I had to reenter prior file info. Please test next year's program for this feature
What's not so great: Failed to bring forward prior year files

Total Mix-up - Stuck with paying more for less
on April 12, 2015

I had to pay more for less than what I previously did in 2014. Stated that you will get a credit for missing functionality -- did not receive that option and I had to pay additional cost.
What's great about it: Copied last years info
What's not so great: Cost more for less

You got me passed the gauntlet again.

I have been a user of your tax preparation for many years .
You have saved me time, money, and probably a major breakdown. Thank you .
Please continue your Herculean work in keeping up with our obtuse ,twisted Byzantine tax code.
What's great about it: The continuity that you provide makes filing much less than it would be otherwise.
What's not so great: I experienced some glitches during review . It took me awhile to regognize my misatkes and correct them .
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax issues
on April 12, 2015

Form 4052 appeared out of no where and I can't figure out where Turbo Taz wanted to get investment expense. Since it was zero, I just deleted the report.
Turbo Tax for Business S-corp imports liability accounts from last year but is unable to match them up with the current Quickbooks enterprise data even though they have not changed
Turbo Tax for Business Trust form lacks a 1099-Misc so I had to write notes in the return, a waste of time.
What's great about it: got it done
What's not so great: Too many bugs and missing pieces
