Easy to follow, when you need help the help they provide is very good. Happy with experience
What's great about it: fairly easy to follow
What's not so great: Deluxe was changed had to download for Premier

I dreaded doing the taxes because of the way you have to report your Railroad Retirement. It's much clearer than it was 7-8 years ago when I had to step in and finish my father-in-law's taxes when he passed.
What's great about it: Easy and convenient. The retirement portion has been vastly improved from what it was 7-8 years ago.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

2014 Taxes

Overall great program. Won't do taxes without it. Seemed to be more complicated than last year, though.
What's great about it: Does a lot of the thinking
What's not so great: Was not able to download some of my tax information (not TT fault)

Hard year for taxes

This was an especially hard year for taxes as we consolidate all 401k's and annuities in one place. However next year should be easier. I have been with Turbo Tax since 2002 and appreciate the service. Also got great help onj signing in from you agent.
What's great about it: Very Thorough
What's not so great: Difficult

Help was pretty specific about how to do this, but all the actual pages in the software said 1099-B, so not much confidence this is being done correctly. Have always been extremely impressed with TurboTax in previous years, but the sale of a rental home and sale of parents home with a portion in my name were both not well handled in the software.
What's not so great: No support for 1099-S For Second Home Sale & Rental Sale

I wouldn't use this again. I've used it since it first came out but it's gone downhill but taking certain forms off so you have to buy other versions.

What's not so great: left out forms - too many turbo tax versions

I had to ask an accountant about our unique situation in claiming my step-daughter who is over 24 and unable to work due to a medical issue, whether we could claim her as a dependent. Turbo tax did not make it clear if this was correct.
What's great about it: Detail and conveniece
What's not so great: Need to ask more questions
