turbo tax would be excellent if support was better.

Compared to Taxact and got different results, reviewed entries with Turbo and stayed the same results.
What's great about it: much easier to navigate
What's not so great: repeating /verifying answers

What's great about it: Easy to use. Very Helpful walking you thru tax forms. Gets the most refund back

I'm an accountant so I have some knowledge of tax law, but Turbo Tax fills in the gaps. I recommend it to all my friends who have no clue about accounting or taxes. It is easy and helpful for the beginner as well as for those at an advanced level of tax knowledge.

I used to prepare my own taxes, but ever since I began using TurboTax, it has made my tax preparation experience as close to enjoyable as this process can be made and it has increased my confidence in the accuracy of the filing, moreover it is cost-effective.
What's great about it: Excellent guidance and an option to be walked through or not
What's not so great: none come to mind

This year seemed easier than ever to complete my taxes. The program was even more user friendly than previous years. I was very pleased with the entire process.
What's great about it: easy to use, fast, accurate
What's not so great: state filing cost, extra state cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax I&RP vsn

*** Need to add option to pay TAX DUE via EFTPS system (IRS online payments for tax due and Estimated Tax payments) in addition to mailing check payment method..
2013 TurboTax Basic provided same functions for Equity Trades/Mutual Funds purchases & sales as 2014 TurboTax I&RP at lower price.
What's great about it: Coordinates with prior year
What's not so great: Used TurboTax Basic in all prior years -- ? advantage of I&RP ?

My TT experience

After completing Fed and Calif Review with no errors indicated, and then doing Efile and paying for the California efile, I click the Transmit button.
Only THEN, an error window says that there is an error on the California having to do with AMT depreciation.
Window shows a confusing form with 2 offending fields highlighted. Can't overwrite. Only after switching to forms view do I have the ability to correct the error.
WHY was I allowed to get that far into the process ( transmit button) before I was alerted to an error.
This really stinks. Turbo Tax people, please correct this !!
