Refund Was Smooth

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. I love the way you provided the right questions to help maximize my refund. I like the way I can go and get/search for answers and get them. I wish you provided free e-filing for the State. I can e-file for free on our state website so I am not going pay through turbo tax. But I do feel I am missing your expertise.
What's great about it: Step By Step Super Easy
What's not so great: State Advertised As Free but wasn't To E-file

I couldn't do without it.

A long, long time ago, I did my taxes manually. It took forever and gave me stress-induced health symptoms. Once and once only I tried tax software that wasn't TurboTax. After an arduous data entry process, it ate my return and crashed my computer. Never again. Since then I've used TurboTax every year for federal and state returns and wouldn't dream of doing anything else. I got my federal and state returns done this time in just a few hours, and that included time spent digging through records I should have kept in a better place. I love the simplicity and ease of TurboTax, especially because it can transfer information from previous returns and download information from my banking and brokerage accounts. I especially love not having to mail anything or even make out a check. It's all electronic, quick and simple.
What's great about it: Easiest way of doing federal & state taxes ever.
What's not so great: Some frustrations with data entry.

When doing my kids returns (both college students), I had to input all of their expenses (tuition, room/board, books, etc) and their 529 info, only to find that they were not eligible for any educational credits because they had been declared as dependents on my return. You need to restructure this section and first ask if they have been declared dependents elsewhere, and if so, say they don't have to proceed because they're not eligible, saving a lot of time inputing data that is not necessary.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate,even for someone who has not done taxes before.
What's not so great: Deluxe version lacked forms that it has always had previously, making upgrade for no reason.

NYS program terrible. Would not allow me to enter all oil purchases on form IT241 and did not provide me opportunity to add overpayment from 2013.

Quick and easy

I do 5 peoples taxes every year. I like that most of the info transfers over and saves me time. It also makes me sure that I have all of their deductions based on what they had the year before.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: n/a
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

missing feature

Very disappointed that Turbo tax deleted the Schedules which were part of the Deluxe version thereby requiring me to buy the upgrade to Premier.
What's great about it: very informative

Great Product!

I am a CPA and have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years to do personal tax returns for Friends and Family. I will even tell people to try it themselves and I will do the final review. Once they try it, they usually just do it themselves each year thereafter.
What's great about it: Simple and easy to understand difficult concepts
What's not so great: Importing Investment Transactions can be tricky

The printing a copy for my files did not work well. I do not need 4 pages of Schedule J and I got the same printing it for mailing. I could not see a way to eliminate forms that i did not want unless I did them one at a time.
What's great about it: I like that all the information from last year is there and I don't have to re-enter it. The section on selling mutual
