Payment

This year I am paying Federal and State Tax. It was easy setting up the payments via my bank account. Now, when I try to set up my payment for the Maryland State E-file method, there is no system to use just like paying taxes due for Federal and State. It keeps insisting that I use my Credit Card? Why? For this - I give my rating as 1 out of 5 for this shortcoming.
What's great about it: Filling up the forms is easy. I have used Turbo Tax for so many years.
What's not so great: Paying for the State E-filing is a STRUGGLE!!!!

What's not so great: Cost of Turbo need to be re-evaluated in light of the competition.

Was disappointed to learn that the same TurboTax product used for 2013 would not work for 2014, but Intuit made it right at no additional cost to me. I have used this software since it became available, and have full confidence in it. Never a problem with federal or state revenue services. I intend to continue using TurboTax for our future tax returns.
What's great about it: Gathers previous years' history, imports financials
What's not so great: Nothing significant once proper product was in hand.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not a happy camper. I’ve used TurboTax for many years now and the recent changes are ridiculous. Price ratcheted up to use the same forms I used last year. Now have to have an internet connection just so I can print my forms here; why must my data be transmitted to Intuit before I can print it on my printer? I do not want and never intend to use Intuit’s Cloud; my data is mine, not Intuit’s. Error correction is poor; hard to understand the information that’s being asked for on the state form. I doubt I’ll be using it again next year. Too bad, as it was once a decent product.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Overall I had a pleasant experience using Turbo Tax. It took me about 5 hours to do Federal and State returns. There was some discrepencey for some rental property I had the program determined. The program asked me if it should be sec 179. I had no idea what sec 179 was - this was not there fault, but the IRS lingo. Great product! I would recommend for anyone with simple or near simple returns.
What's great about it: enter info and Turbo Tax does the work for you
What's not so great: some tax lingo can be difficult to understand
