I've used this for several years including rental income. It's great. It transfers last year's data. It shows a comparison, so I can catch something I missed. I can choose what I want to work on and skip the rest. So I start my return before I have received everything and get things done easier. Then it files it for me. It knows more than a tax professional knows. Great Job!
What's great about it: Love how info is transferred from year to year
What's not so great: Help with tax questions could be better but it's still good.

Saves Me!

Rather than weeks of teeth-gnashing, hair pulling misery, TurboTax enables to finish our returns in a couple days time. I feel that I can completely trust the calculations, something I was afraid to do when trying to wade through pages and pages of IRS forms.
What's great about it: Thoroughness, ease of use, trustworthy.

Over all Turbo Tax is a great product and I will continue to use it every year!
What's great about it: I love the way Turbo Tax walks me through everything.
What's not so great: The K-1 area needs some improvements. It was difficult to understand.

I received Inherited IRA for first time in 2014
The regular Inherited IRA was handled without difficulty
Inherited Roth IRA Distribution Code Q was provided to me without J or T which Turbo Tax was looking for. Not sure I corrected properly or not, but discrepancy finally "cleared". .
What's great about it: Generally very easy to use
What's not so great: Inherited Roth IRA

RMD issues not all covered when spouse deceased; yes/no option needs sub answers;
overly generous on thrift store prices for donations;
have to go thru end questions again & again when checking or editing work;
not clear if /when/how waiver statement will be handled for form 5329
don't tell you electronic filing for state is extra cost until near the end of the form

Better than EVER!

I had a much more in depth return this year and even though I have used Turbo Tax for quite a while, I thought maybe I should go to an expert. I reviewed my past history with Turbo Tax and had no issues, so I went ahead and tried it for 2014. I should have known not to doubt Turbo Tax.
With lots of deductions and complicated forms (at least I thought so), I went thru the entire Federal and State and e-filed in under 1 and a half hours... I SHOULD HAVE NEVER DOUBTED TURBO TAX.
