Easy to use

I had a technical question about the way a transfer showed from one IRA account to a new account with a different company. It didn't appear to be correct to me. I looked for an answer in the community but didn't find one. There wasn't an obvious way for me to contact someone at TurboTax with this question, so I had to go to an outside CPA.
What's great about it: Can easily flip back and forth from step by step to the actual forms
What's not so great: It is not convenient to contact someone with a direct tax form question if the community does not provide the answer.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

As Painless As it Gets

Great product, easy to use. Asks all the right questions. My tax situation is pretty straightforward and it works well for me. Two hours, start to finish, some of which was spent looking up records I'd forgot that I'd need. About as painless as it can be (disregarding the bottom line, which is, of course, not TT's issue!).
What's great about it: Easy to understand, leads you by the hand, guaranteed accurate
What's not so great: Gotta trust the software!

Difficult to File State via paper

Had to maneuver back and forth to get the State of NH filing to print. Once TurboTax acknowledged that it couldn't be eFiled, there was no continuation to provide the alternative of paper filing
What's great about it: Federal return was quick and easy
What's not so great: State Return difficult to print when eFile not available

TurboTax!

I have been using TurboTax for a while and I like the fact that we can download bank statements, transaction statements, etc. Some key things that need to be addressed:
1. Some errors really bog you down. I currently have an error with my Merrill Lynch GNMA account becuase the adjustment amount is 0.00. I can't get around this. I have checked online via Merrill Lynch and TurboTax with no answers. I emailed my financial advisor but if he can't help me, I will not be able to eFile. I have just wasted about 2 hrs trying to figure this out.
2. There should be some form of support via email or telephone with TurboTax. I saw a lot of things online but no answers to my problem.
3. There should also be an automatica sales tax calculator.
