What's great about it: search engine works well
What's not so great: ohio efile and even paper copies never ready, but I can efile ohio for free onlin....

Making it easier every year!

I just used TurboTax for the 15th year. It just keeps getting better every year. I did my taxes this year in record time without a glitch. Easy! Fast! Simple! I am so impressed... and happy! Thank you TurboTax for all the tax information that was presented in a well organized format and easily understood way. Keep up the good work!
What's great about it: So easy to use!
What's not so great: Can't find a single shortcoming!

The Turbo tax is easy to do and reasonable to purchase. I recommend it to anyone to try.
What's great about it: easy to use, easy on the pocket book
What's not so great: some tricky questions thats always nice to talk to a person.

Still the best alternative to an accountant

Other than the debacle of forcing upgrades for capital gains and investments and then providing the upgrade for free, the package provides the usual thorough approach to doing your own taxes. While rules on foreign bank accounts have changed a bit in the last two years, the package hasn't kept up to make the information easily understandable. Since this is not something that affects many self filers, it's probably not perceived as a problem, but it was to me. Other than that, I've been using TurboTax since 1998 and it's still the best around.
What's great about it: Thorough, usually clear instructions on how to complete and what's needed
What's not so great: Still unnecessarily confusing about what to do with interest from foreign bank accounts.

Use TurboTax Every Year

I've been using TurboTax since my husband died in 2009. No problems, no questions left unanswered. Easy one afternoon experience, even my first filing for 2009 that included sales of investments, sale of home, purchase of new home, sale of restricted stock options, etc. Great Product!
What's great about it: Detailed Questions, Easy to Use, Good Review Process

Trust Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax has been my go-to tax filing choice for several years. The system is user-friendly and I like the way it reviews and looks for other options and/or mistakes at the end...that gives reassurance that your return is filed correctly with current tax laws.
What's great about it: User-friendly format
What's not so great: I didn't get a refund!

Program is excellent and would rate 5 stars except for the cost of this software the state filing fir NJ should be free.
