Not Happy Many hours spent.on software issues

I had a lot of problems and now that my taxes are done I going to get this software off my computer and figure out what happened with my Quicken software.
I spent way to many hours managing software this year.
What's not so great: Turbo tax crased my Quicken program

Turbo Tax Premier

Overall, Turbo Tax does a great job and I recommend it to others. Being able to import information from my employer and brokerage as well as from previous years' Turbo Tax forms makes it possible for me to do my own taxes. Without the import feature from my brokerage, I would have to pay an accountant to figure out where all those figures go.
My only criticism is that I had to buy the more expensive Premier version of Turbo Tax this year because they removed the investment features that had previously been part of the Deluxe version. I hope that they put them back into Deluxe next year because I don't have any need for Premier except for the investment features.
What's great about it: Very easy imports of information from employer and brokerage!
What's not so great: Having to buy the higher, more expensive, version of Turbo Tax this year.

We like using Turbo Tax - it's easy to use and walks us through step by step. Also cheaper than a CPA
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Fairly easy to use, but buggy on Win XP
on April 11, 2015

My taxes are of medium complexity, with rental income, stock trading, and regular W2 income.
The program makes it straightforward to handle these, using the version I did.
Problems were around dialog boxes that would pop up empty, showing no text to know how to proceed. Sometimes I would eventually get them to come up with the information within them. I'm just not sure if this is because I'm running on Windows XP.
What's great about it: Brought in prev years, and straightforward to answer questions
What's not so great: Buggy dialogs, but don't know if it's just running on Win XP
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Deluxe vs Premier

The interface to import investment info is poor. No step by step and obvious does not reflect the individual vendors/institutions. Your on-line questions and answers are vague and do not really address the questions.
Once you enter a form it is hard to back out of it. There should be an option to eliminate a form. Case I have a schedule K-1 1065 but not a 1065 S I inadvertently entered into the 1065 S form and it plagued me forever until I just deleted the form.
What's great about it: More money for You
What's not so great: Less customers
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Mistake in 2013 taxes that carried over to my 2014
on April 11, 2015

Transferred corrected data to my 2014 Turbo Tax, and proceeded to successfully complete my 2014 tax. . I do not believe the checking of boxes error on my 2013 tax changed my taxes paid.
I would not be able to do my own taxes without the very reasonable priced Turbo Tax annual updates I have used for years.
Keep up the good work Bob S
What's great about it: Was able to reload TurboTax 2013 taxes stored on my computer and correct..
What's not so great: No cons except reading how to, correcting and importing to 2014.
