Help poor value

The help is not really there. No chat or phone person. If there was help I never found it besides the FAQ. H&R does a much better job with answering questions and guiding you through areas you are not sure of.
What's great about it: step by step was easy

Why More?

The importation of income sources from the previous year resulted in duplicate forms when I imported the information from the sources.
What's great about it: Having used TurboTax for more than 20 years the software seems easier than before.
What's not so great: Disliked the need to purchase the Premier edition to report investment income.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Another Year another Turbo experience

Fine
Had to call the help desk regarding accrued Bond interest as the program does not allow you to break out accrued interest paid to the various state bonds. It should allow you to match these up to the specific bonds versus allocating it based on percentages. This is a flaw that needs to be fixed.

What's great about it: Once again guides were good
What's not so great: Need to make it more user friendly regarding bond interest when you reveice this from various state bonds

I have long history with TT and prefer to keep it that way. I feel very comfortable after finishing my taxes.

Deluxe

Overall, the product was easy to use. However, even with the upgrade to Premier, I couldn't input my tax basis increases or decreases in interview. Had to switch to Forms mode. If I was not a professional tax accountant, this information would have been incorrect using the interview method.
Last year in the Deluxe package, the interview properly asked the appropriate questions for K-1.
I am disappointed in your elimination from the Deluxe package the simple K-1 input simply to force clients to upgrade for more money which I am sure you will do for 2015.
I would also like to see just what forms are included in a package prior to buying so that we can easily determine which package is needed to correctly prepare a return rather than have the software notify us that we need to upgrade based on information input.
IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT I WILL NOT PURCHASE TURBO TAX NEXT SEASON AFTER 15 YEARS OF USE.

takes the pain out of doing taxes. A really nice add-on would be computing how much withholding I should request for the new tax year.

Greatly simplifies a complicated task

It amazes me that anyone with a modicum of intelligence would pay for a tax preparer when you can do it so easily with TurboTax. If you buy the correct version even the most complex problems are made simple..
I especially like the way stock market transactions can be downloaded quickly from the broker rather than have to individually enter each one.

What's not so great: Would like a number to call and talk with a live person when I'm stumped and can't find solution to a problem.

Directions and Use

I found the program very easy to use. The directions were very helpful in leading me through the complex process of filing my taxes. Also beneficial was the help resources that not only gave you access to federal and state tax documents but also provided help from professionals as well as other Turbo Tax users.
What's great about it: ease of use, complete directions, helpful sources
