Federal return - great.
Utah State return - I am using the State website for free. I couldn't get all the way through with TurboTax without having a problem, specifically, I had extra TC-675R forms that were part of the State K-1 that I couldn't get entered. I would have lost $2081 in credits without getting these accepted. The Utah State website handled this exactly right last year, so I expect the same again.

What's great about it: Turbotax handled my Federal return just fine.
What's not so great: I am not using Turbotax for my Utah State Tax as it didn't work right.

I had to go over my foreign earned income and overseas cost benefits several times to get it right, the step trhough on this part was not real clear to me.
What's great about it: Imported informaiton from previous year
What's not so great: Not really clear on foreign earned income

Short Opton Nightmare

I chose to have brokerage information from TD Ameritrade imported into Turbo Tax. Everything was transferred correctly except for short option transactions, (Box A, Form 8949).
I had to delete all these transactions and then enter them by hand. I made an error doing that and there was no way to go back and check all of the items in Turbo Tax.
I had to delete them all again and just use the total numbers and attach supporting schedules. This precluded me from filing by e-mail.
This area needs to be improved.

What's great about it: The carryover features from the prior year are a big time saver.
What's not so great: The system couldn't handle short option transactions.

Really, really a big help

I would not use any other product for taxes. Everything from every year is available on my desktop and during filing I can compare last year with the current. I like that I don't have to know all of the numbers and rules I just follow along with the questions and fill in the blanks. I like that there are suggestions made when I am in a special case I do not have to call and WAIT for someone to answer my question, then leave me with more questions than I started with. It is just a really, really big help to use TurboTax
What's great about it: I don't need to remember what I did last year
What's not so great: None I've found
