Easier than doing it myself

Generally speaking, TurboTax explains things well enough that I can understand why it's doing what it's doing, or why I need to do what it tells me to do. Some things could be explained better, though, such as the various components of the AMT calculations and steps relating to investments. For example, what is "private activity bond interest expense"?
What's great about it: Turbotax walks you through every step, reducing, if not eliminating, the need to figure out the tax code yourself.
What's not so great: Could use a better explanation of the various steps of the AMT.

Needs better help on the Nanny Tax

TurboTax needs to find better ways for handling the Nanny Tax both in terms of Federal and Individual State Taxes.
What's great about it: in most situations, TurboTax is fine
What's not so great: covering the Nanny Tax is confusing

TT software was easy to use, but the added fees for some state and filing fees gets to be obsessive. It should be one price for filing............

Confused and Delayed

As the IRS changes things like income reporting on the 1099-B it would be great if Turbo Tax would adjust as well so that it is easier to figure out the steps. This is the first year that I had to do this and it was hard to get to the answers I needed. Q and A was not helpful.
What's great about it: 5th year using Turbo Tax. Easy to go through. No the system
What's not so great: More complicated on the income side and not very intuitive

Filing taxes with Intuit is so easy. The detailed step by step questions make me feel secure that nothing was missed - income or deductions. When I needed support - support was available in a timely fashion. Highly recommend Intuit products and services.

Preparing my taxes was easy.

I found this years overall presentation easer to follow than some previous years. The screens were less cluttered. I did not feel like I was laboring through a lot of text to understand what information I needed to provide. I struggled a little finding how to print the state return for mailing when I selected electronic mailing for my federal return. I final got the hang of it when I went to the print screen and realized more fully that I could select whichever documents, either federal or state returns, I wanted. Keep up the good work. I learn something about the program each year I use it.
What's great about it: The steps were easy to follow. The questions along the way were clear and I understood them more quickly than previous.
What's not so great: Printing out documents I need is still a slight challange for me, but getting better.

Not much help in one area

My efile was rejected, and i got a message back saying my TIN was already filed. I'm not sure what my TIN is, almost surely my SSN, but it should have taken me to where that is so it could be fixed. i just had to navigate to it myself.
What's great about it: easy and thorough
What's not so great: not much help in some areas
