Did It Myself

Turbo Tax held my hand through out the whole process. I was able to do my taxes in a few hours. Having your financial institution participate in the download was a tremendous help -- especially if it's an investment account and you had some trades in the tax year.
The only con is that some of the terminology still stumped me and I had to go to the help page -- which was time consuming.
What's great about it: Step-By Step Instructions
What's not so great: Still didn't understand some definitions

I love Turbo Tax. My CPA retired and she recommended Turbo and I have done my own taxes for about 10 yrs now with NO hassles

Good but not Great

I've been a TurboTax user from the very first and remain one because of the quality of the software, however there continue to be functional weaknesses in the areas of user interface and general ease of use. Bluntly, the user interface is clunky. As an example, there is no way I have found to alphabetize the list of 1099-DIVs. There should be one, there isn't. Similarly, sorting charitable deductions is not possible. The supporting details feature is awkward to use and not obvious when used. I could go on, but you get the idea. Intuit has, rightly, focused on getting and keeping the tax law correct and the software generally easy to use, but year after year the same weaknesses in the GUI persist.
What's great about it: Generally easy to use
What's not so great: Lack of convenience features such as sorting lists (charitable deductions or 1099-DIVs for example)

2014 TurboTax Review

I am a 20+ year user of Turbo Tax, a lot of the recent changes I could do without. A version allowing the selection the previous years data and only the deductions and exemptions I used then would be welcomed.
What's great about it: Forms readily accessible
What's not so great: A simpler version with the ability to auto-enter zero amounts.

Superb Product

I have used turbo tax for years, dating back to mid-1990s. Never a problem, the software asks all the right questions and help is but a click away to chat with a representative if something is vague. Great software for the homeowner or small business owner whose income and expenses are fairly straight forward.
What's great about it: Ease of use, help access, inclusion of State Tax data
What's not so great: Better explanation of foreign income exclusion calculations, NC State Tax form entries were vague
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have used Turbo Tax since it's inception. Love this program . They keep up with the changing laws, make importing of any tax related information easy and the step by step questions make sure I get all of the information required by the IRS.
What's great about it: Easy, step by step
What's not so great: Navigation when I'm not concentrating

Very Easy - Awesome Product

Much controversy around having to upgrade to Premier to get what Deluxe use to have. All in all - not an issue for me considering the savings of using this product versus other options. TurboTax still quality product.
