Trouble with imported data.

I had a lot of trouble filling in zero amounts in option transaction fields left blank in data imported from my broker. It took me several hours and several program crashes to complete the task. Hopefully, this problem will be fixed for next year.
What's great about it: Prefilled forms

Great for doing taxes. Using for over 7 yrs.
What's great about it: Easy to use and understand.
What's not so great: don't get cap gain/loss in deluxe. Only have one item and not worth paying extra upgrade for it

Easy Taxes

Some items were more complicated seeming than last years, and confusing. For example, my husband's pension - you asked if it were a RMD. Confused US, since it has never been an IRA or anything like it. Finally just said no, but you made it sound as if it needed to be. Some other items had the same problem - questions didn't apply, but didn't seem to offer an alternative. Also, it really would be nice if, while you were working through the items, the main screen came back to where you had last been - we did get tired of having to scroll down each time. Overall, though, we appreciate TurboTax, in spite of our little detours wondering if we have done something right! (Final K-1's are really CONFUSING).
What's great about it: Mostly self-explanatory- got deductions for us automatically, easy to step through, nice detailed explanations.
What's not so great: Doesn't come back to item just completed. Too complicated in parts, unnecessarily.

Disappointed in the New Up priced 2015 version

Although Turbo Tax has been my choice of tax preparation software for many years, I did not appreciate the unexpected increase in price nor the way management implemented it. I only used it this year for last minute convenience and will be very selective in my choice of software for 2015 taxes. I will be shopping and comparing tax software for the best value. This year Turbo Tax was not the best value, only the most convenient at the time.
What's great about it: Tax preparation went smoothly as expected.
What's not so great: Paid an increase of 44% more for this years software than last

A long time user

Was initially disappointed in not getting the investment component with original purchase but Intuit made good and provided the upgrade for Free. The program was easy to use and almost fully complete - had to struggle a bit on the K-1 part as it wasn't in the normal flow, but since I had the form, and found the input location, even that was easy to do. A 10 year user and likely to keep doing it in the years to come.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and complete
What's not so great: Didn't prompt all of my required form input (i.e. 1041)

We've always had a great experience with using TurboTax...I think this is our tenth year in doing so.....The explanations are clear and concise.
We are in an investment club, and sometimes we have a difficult time in understanding what to do with our K-1 instructions.
Also, this year, we had to purchase a premium copy to do our taxes, after already purchasing the deluxe version.....Unhappy about that....
