Taxes are done!!

Used for several years and it gets easier every year
What's great about it: Straight Forward, consistent, picks up information from last year and downloaded from my brokerage account
What's not so great: Aids and additional information need to be clearer for non-professional tax people

I love turbo tax. I prefer the CD version. I tried going thru a credit union last year & it cost me more! I was disappointed that I couldn't transfer those files for this year but Turbo Tax makes it so easy to do taxes the transfer is just to verify one has included everything. SO easy to use.
What's great about it: I spoke to Tyro or Kyro of AZ. Excellent service
What's not so great: She answered my questions.

TurboTax Premier

I have used TurboTax (originally MacInTax) since 1992, and overall, this year was yet another year of easy, fast filing. I had one additional issue (other than with the Form 1116). My current primary email will be changing in a couple of weeks, so I changed my Account ID to the new email address before I had finished my return. When I tried to sign back in to my return, it would not let me change the Account ID to the new one, nor would it accept the old one, which automatically appeared and could not be changed or deleted. I ended up having to change my Account ID back to the original one just to sign back into my return. Other than that, I had as good an experience as one could expect from filing taxes.
What's great about it: Easily imports data from previous year, walks me through the return, fast, easy.
What's not so great: I had difficulty with Schedule 1116. It did not want to link to the proper K-1 Trust Account.

Bought Deluxe and could not find 1099-DIV Upgraded to Premier and still didn't find 1099-DIV. Still can't do my taxes. Will try to contact support
What's not so great: last year used basic for same tax situation at less cost

Very user friendly for anyone to use. I've been a TurboTax user for 6 years and never had a problem filing electronically. The user help is fantastic. too. Highly recommend.

I have lots of out of the ordinary situations used investments & rental property version and software seemed to handle everything with ease.
What's great about it: lots of import methods, help
What's not so great: if you want to complain I guess could be cheaper.
