Pro features and looks, but without the weight.

Bought this to replace a dead electric cooktop. Since I had plumbed for gas decided to go gas. Now in the North West, if you don't have a pro cooktop in your kitchen, you will get dinged when you sell the house. Problem, many pro cooktops weight as much 500lbs or more!!!yikes. Some countertops need to be reinforced just to hold them. This unit has the look, has 20,000btu+ performance and weights under 100lbs.

Burner settings

Each burner only operates on a High, Medium, or Low setting (except for the simmer feature on the highest BTU burner). You cannot adjust the flame height on a continuous basis. You cannot fine tune the setting. It's only High, Medium, or Low. To me, the best part of gas cooking is to have fine contol over the heat . There us nothing on websites that mention this, nor in the User instructions. Not on this rangetop.

I absolutely love my new cooktop - it's super modern and substantial. The knobs are chunky which I love, it seems to be pretty easy to keep clean thus far, and one major plus is that all the grates line up to be one solid surface. So when you are setting something larger across the top to cool off, there is plenty of room. I also love that even though it's a 30 inch cooktop and not the 36 or 48 inch size, it feels substantial and has that commercial grade feel to it. In terms of cooking ability, it's top notch as well. Food cooks quickly and evenly. And different burners have different strengths so I've noticed that I can boil water more quickly on one burner than another, which is nice. One more thing to be aware of, this cooktop is extra strong, so I have to be mindful that a medium on here is like a medium/high setting on my old cooktop. I do love it and I'm so glad its the one I picked. I wouldn't change a thing!

Great design!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the way this cooktop looks. There are two things I would change though. The part where the eyes are stick out about 3 or 4 inches. I am short so I have to stand on my tip toes to reach the back burner. Also I wish that more than one eye had the simmer feature.

We bought this as part of a complete kitchen remodel. We wanted a professional cooktop but had a small galley type kitchen. This fit the bill perfectly! Great heating ability. High BTU burners cook things fast. The 4 burners all have different BTUs so you can cook different things at different temperatures. All in all a great purchase. Love it!

We purchased this rangetop a few months ago for our newly remodeled kitchen. We were a little hesitant because we couldn't find it on display anywhere locally, just pictures on-line. My husband wanted to spend about $1000 more on a Wolfe of Miele rangetop, but I talked him into trying this one since it was less-expensive and more what I wanted. He relented and now loves it, too! It is very well-made and we've had no problems whatsoever!

Junk. When I removed the protective plastic cover it has left a film and no matter what I do we can't remove the stains from the glue. You can still see the outline of the junky made in the USA sticker they apply to the product. Complete lack of quality from this brand.

I had to replace my old gas cooktop and was limited on space. I ended up finding this KitchenAid unit that fit perfectly. Was easy to install. There are very few parts on top so cleaning is quick and easy. The feature is high and low BTU burner. I can boil a large pot of water in just a couple min now.
