Good so far..

I have been using the hand vacuum FreshSaver for a couple of weeks now. So far, it's working out; but sometimes the attachment that you place on the bag takes a while before it begins to take the air out. I have to move it around slightly until it catches on, then it starts sealing. I'm not sure why this happens. I seal it on a flat surface, and place the sealer exactly on the circle on the bag. I tried to vacuum a cut cucumber, but don't recommend juicy products because the cucumber got really wet and soft inside. Same with cut lemons. I guess the vacuum seal process isn't right for juicy or wet fruits and vegetables. Froze some garden spinach today, and did great.

Great size for most portion storage

Although the sticky tab that keeps air out will eventually wear off if you reuse these bags like I do, they still hold up very well. The size is perfect for most food items. I keep cheese it them far longer than most zip bags because removing the air keeps things fresher longer. Wonderful for coffee beans, sliced fruits and vegetables. Good product.

I am well satisfied with these bags. The secret to a good closure is to place the bag on a flat surface and slide the fingers firmly along the zipper edge, then vacuum until all air is out. Leakage will occur if the bag isn't firmly sealed.
Also, make sure the unit is fully charged. I use the bags mainly for delicatessen meats and sliced cheeses, keeping them fresh longer.

i don't use the quart size very often.... Yet. i am thinking of storing some of my lesser used spices in them (container and all). Should help out in the summer with the humidity

Great savings on keeping food fresh

These bags are the extreme upgrade to zip-lock type baggies.
Cheese, deli meat.....everything you need to open and re-seal frequently.

Far to thin, and can't be used in freezer!

I was excited to try these and liked them at first, BUT found anything with non-smooth edges or too firm tore the bags on sealing! Need to be thicker and more durable. VERY DISAPPOINTED they were not able to be used in a freezer. Great idea, poor product! Will not buy again until improved!! Had to toss most of them.

Long overdue

These fill the one shortcoming of the food savers. Now instead of cutting and throwing away bags I can use what I ned and reseal!!!!! Husband loves them for lunch meats and cheese.

Great for cold cuts!

My plan for using the zipper bag adapter and zipper bags was to use them for cold cuts. I am very pleased with the results. I feel that the slight extra expense of the vacuum zipper bags is well worth it because even though the bags are open and closed daily they held up and kept the meat longer than usual.
The slight downside is that when you vacuum pack cheese it gets stuck together again. A little patience does allow you to separate the slices again, though.
I would recommend this to a friend!
