This is the best point and shot camera, small, great zoom, very good quality in photos and awsome on video, lot of functions and for me is like the pre-DSLR camera.

HORRIBLE PICTURES JUST LIKE THE HX20V

I was hoping for an improvement over the hx20v but was not satisfied. still the same watercolor looking pictures as before.
if you like picture with lost of artifacts , noise,just plain weird.. this is the camera for you...don't know why people are not honest with their reviews . if they looked at their pics on something bigger that their phone they will see the pics are horrible.

I had the camera for two years and it was very good friend. It took a lot of good pictures, as well as a lot of very average. The video quality was always amazing. The waterproof lid was just fine during snorkeling, but it finally got crack after a minor drop. The fact it was a minor drop (less than 2f) is annoying. It is also (a little bit) annoying to explain to everyone how to open the lens.

Good but need some improvement

First at all, I like this camera a lot, it have a lot of feature which are great for travel. but as a travel zoom camera, it lack the important flip screen which allow user to take self portrait. during travel, a lot of people will take self portrait with the landscape/building or nice scene. A 180 flip screen help a lot. Sony, hope you hear this and for next travel zoom that include flip screen, I will buy.

I was hoping that when I purchased a $400 dollar camera that it would completely function when I received it. That was not the case so having to figure out how I return a new camera.
To me this does not speak well about the manufacture and their quality control.

Camera is too large. Great to have GPS, but I do not use this camera as the camera itself is simply too large. Need the same feature in a smaller package. Thus, I have purchased a smaller camera with similar features as Sony does not have one in the size with the features I want.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i wish this have APS-C Sensor & 60x zoom & retro

i wish next product Sony make this with APS-C Sensor, Long zoom 60x+, retro classic style like a7r BUT THE VIEWFINDER MORE FLAT to body. and Sony product always not exist (late) in Indonesia?
