If I was a wolverine, this is how I'd fry a badger.

But since I'm human I'll stick with less exotic fare. I'm no stranger to Infinite Circulon. I've got pieces that have been in my kitchen for at least 8 years. Those pans are just as nonstick as the day we brought 'em home (translation: you couldn't stick burnt cheese to the surface with Velcro, a nail gun and Krazy Glue). They spend more time in the oven as roasting pans than on the stove, and when it's time to clean up, it's straight from the Hotpoint (after cooling down, of course) and into the Kenmore. Yes, something occasionally survives the latter's best efforts, mainly those food soils that can only succumb to physical removal but the effort is more like extra light olive oil than elbow grease. The appeal of this behemoth: no-boil baked pasta which usually requires a greased glass or glass-ceramic (CorningWare Pyroceram, Visions) casserole and a separate mixing bowl. This chef's pan serves both purposes. Have one? Try this No-Boil Baked Chili Cheese Mac. Dump in a couple 15-ounce cans of chili (with or without beans) or a quart of homemade chili and rinse the cans with a quart of beef broth. Stir it up until the chili is evenly diluted, then stir in 1 pound of UNCOOKED elbow macaroni followed by a pound of appropriate shredded cheese (Cheddar, Cheddar-Jack, Mexican blend, whatever pleases your fancy). Using that big helper handle, park it on the center rack in your cold oven, disable the quick preheat feature if your oven is so equipped and bake uncovered from a cold start at 350 degrees F for an hour. Leave the pan in the oven an additional 15 minutes, remove and let stand at room temp for another 15. The total cooking time is about the same as the aggregate cooking time for parboiling, then baking the macaroni. Shovel into bowls, douse with hot sauce if desired, admire for a few moments, then DIG IN! And remember: the dishwasher calls ""Dibs!"" on what's left after you've put away the leftovers (if there are any).
