On Friday, March 27, I arrived home to find the house full of smoke and all of the smoke alarms beeping and announcing "fire." When I opened the door to the house, I immediately went to the kitchen and found the Circulon pan had been left on the high flame burner for over 2.5 hours. I immediately turned off the flame, opened all of the windows/doors and turned on all of the ceiling fans. As the smoke subsided, I was able to look into the pan. The contents, 4 bratwurst cooking along with beer, had totally disintegrated. All that was left were ashes burned to the bottom of the pan--which were removed with some elbow grease. (My hubby had left the pan on and then left the house.) If it wasn't for the Circuon pan, I am absolutely positive our house would have been in flames when I arrived home. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for the durability and craftsmanship your Circulon pans offer (BTW, this is our second set of Circulon pans!)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned a few straining saucepans before, and honestly, I wasn't a fan. The lids didn't seem to rest quite right; the strainer holes were always too small, and worst of all, the handles felt weak and wobbly. That's not the case at all with this piece of kitchenware. This is the first piece of Circulon cookware I've ever owned, and I have to say, I'm a convert. I never cared much about the name so long as the product did a good job. My experience testing this product has changed my mind. The saucepan is a good, heavy item with a strong handle that's secured by two locking nuts, as opposed to the screws one normally sees attaching handles to the iteam. This ensures the handle won't weaken or warp with use. The saucepan is deep and generously sized, and cooking a full box of pasta wouldn't be a problem. I used mine for quinoa--which is notorious for needing lots of water to cover it, and for once, I didn't have to cook it forever to get it to a texture I like. The saucepan holds heat incredibly well, and that's a challenge with my glass-top stove. My burners are not evenly calibrated, and some burners run far hotter than others, which means cooking times are a guessing game. This pan heated evenly on my craziest burner--I deliberately used it to test the heat-retention qualities of the item, and it went better than I thought. I've long known the name Circulon, but until this product test, I'd never used the brand or this specific item. I absolutely LOVE the color--a deep, shimmery chocolate--and am considering investing in a full set. It went into the dishwasher and came out just as pretty as it went in, no crazing or signs of dishwasher evidence on either the interior or exterior. Circulon is not necessarily what I'd call inexpensive; however, you truly will get what you pay for in strength, attractive design, and durability with this maker. I'm really impressed with this saucepan and plan to redo my cookware around this item!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving that the saucepan has a straining and sturdy lid. This makes my job so much easier when draining pastas, veggies or anything that needs draining! The handle and lid protects your hands with the silicone covering. The saucepan is sturdy and non-stick! Truly non-stick! Nothing has stuck, not even caramel that I needed to heat up for thanksgiving desert! Wow! The color is so beautiful in person. I can't wait to purchase more of circulon's products as they have exceeded my expectations and given me a joy to cook again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is easily my new favorite saucepan! I currently own a set of high quality stainless steel pots and pans, and I have been happy with them... until I received this one! Not only is it a beautiful, very high quality pan, but it is convenient to use and very easy to clean. Nothing that I have cooked in it so far has had any issues with sticking (including several sticky sauces, rice, and caramel), and I seem to be getting better, more evenly cooked results, as well. Having a strainer built right in to the lid is a convenient feature that I appreciate. The merlot color is gorgeous and I highly recommend it. The only problem I can see is that now I need to replace all of my pots and pans with Circulon Symmetry pieces!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This straining saucepan is great. I put it through a lot of abuse and not a single scratch. It's so convenient for cooking soup, ramen, curry, etc. It beats the pants off similar saucepans I have from other brands. It cleans like a dream. I can't come up with a single negative thing to say about this product. You can tell from the heft and machining that the pot is some quality construction. I like the glass lid so you see what's going on inside. Circulon has a new diehard customer in me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Circulon Symmetry with straining lid is amazing! I love that it is non-stick, the handles are comfortable, the pot is large and sturdy and the straining lid is an amazing bonus feature. There are two different sized straining holes and a pour spout on the pot. I've used it for tortellini, steamed veggies and of course in a household with two toddlers, lots of mac & cheese. It is also super easy to clean. I don't think I have anything negative to say or anything I'd want to change about this pan. The color is really pretty too!
