Affordable way to try Sonicare

I used an Oral-B electric toothbrush for over 10 years, and when I decided to shop for a quieter system, I thought it would be a good time to try the other highly-recommended brand (with different action than spinning round). This proved to be an affordable option, and I'm enjoying the difference. The batteries keep it running for over a month, which seems good to me. I have no dentist's report to compare the effect, but it seems to do a great job. It is not, however, quieter, so for that feature, I'll have to keep looking.
This product works very well for about 1 month. Not well made at all. I have purchased four total in the past six months and they all stoped working after about 4-6 weeks of use.
Pros: works well when brand new
Cons: breaks easily
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waist of batteries

I bought this in a pinch because my rechargeable toothbrush stopped working & the store did not have them in stock. This toothbrush will probably end up costing me more money with the number of batteries it goes through.
Whenever I replace the batteries, the bottom of the cap, where the rubber seal is at is full of junk that needs to be cleaned before the cap will go back on correctly. Come-on Philips, this is 2012, can't you guys design a cap that is water tight and just screw on and not push in with force?
Not as good as I thought it wOuld be.. It broke easily
