A long time user of a chargeable unit, this battery powered unit is just as good as my old one. For a fraction of the cost of the regular unit, the battery powered brush does an outstanding job. It's great for people on the go like myself. I highly recommend it.

Makes your teeth feel really clean and fresh. The vibrating head does such a great job - it's hard to remember to just let the Phillips brush do the job. I'll definitely keep using it and recommend it to anyone! Thanks for a great product!

My teeth feel so clean it is like coming back from the dentist after every time I brush.

The product is good but when packed during travel sometime the switch gets pressed in the luggage and the gadget starts running. Causes the batteries to get exhausted earlier than they should.

This sonicare electric toothbrush is simply outstanding. I love the fact that it is battery operated. No caddy and power cords to mess up the small bathroom sink and cabnets. And this battery operated unit is very powerful. I wish the on/off switch was a litter easier to find when I want to power down, and I wish the two minute timer was set to something closer to 1 minute 15 seconds. Two minutes of brushing with this toothbrush is simply more than enough. Use this product with the "in shower" water pic and you have a great system to protect your teeth and gums.
Pros: powerful light weight compact
Cons: two minute timer is too long

Toothbrush works fine when new. Battery compartment leaks water after six months every time and I've owned 4 or 5 of them - poor design. I need a new unit every year or so due to this.
I would get a rechargeable but I need the battery operated one for travel purposes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
