Very disappointing

The 920 and 920XL Yellow cartridges proved to be extremely disappointing in that they failed to deliver the estimated number of copies, and in fact fell far short. The XL is the biggest disappointment in that one expects it to deliver about 50% more copies than the regular size, but was a vast disappointment in this respect. It actually appeared that the XL held only 20%, or even less, ink than the regular size.
This disappointment was evident in other colors as well, but yellow appears to be the worst!

The yellow cartridge doesn't work at all. Must be clogged or made wrong. The other colors work fine. Suggetions to fix this?
Had been buying non HP cartridges. Got annoyed by printer messages saying I had a non HP cartridge. Bought the HP cartridge and installed and the printer won't work! Says the cartridge is missing. Threw the HP printer in the garbage (with the new HP cartridge) and bought an Epson.
