Best Surge Protector on the market

APC makes the best surge protectors on the market and the model P8T3 is no exception. It comes with a lifetime product warranty AND a $150,000 protected equipment warranty and the surge protection is rated at 2770 Joules, not 1750 Joules as stated in Amazon's product description. The big advantage is that it has four wide spaced outlets which easily accomodates those bulky power adapters. In addition the power cord swilvels 180 degrees to make it convenient for placement. A very convenient feature is that the front panel has two LED indicators. The first one lights up green to let you know that protection is working. The second one lights up red if there is a building wiring fault. The first time that I plugged in the surge protector, the building wiring fault LED lighted up red so I knew that I had plugged it in to an incorectly wired outlet. I plugged it in to a different outlet and the red LED didn't light up so I knew that I had plugged it in to a correctly wired outlet. If you are looking for superior quality at a low cost then this is the perfect choice.

LOVE THIS THING

Because of this product I am no longer wasting energy by leaving the streaming devices on while the TV is off. This product works perfectly for turning off all the extra devices I use for my television. I am using this product to turn off my media devices that I use in conjunction with my TV. My TV is plugged into the master outlet and all the devices are on the "controlled by master outlets". This is very useful for all those devices that have no power buttons and don't need to be on when the TV is off. The master switch has a switch in case you want to use a lowered powered device for a master device. I would buy this product again. It is worth it for me to make all the extra electronic LEDs turn off when I turn off the TV.

Beefy Power Saving Surge Protector

Unit helps manage power with various devices so you aren't wasting your money. Beefy sturdy reliable unit for 8 outlets with a couple spaced further apart for larger plugs. Highly recommended!

I like these for the room they leave for any power cubes you might be using to protect your stuff. The phone jack protection is a nice plus also!

Partial failure after 2 1/2 years

I purchased the APC 8 outlet 2770 JOULES surge protector Feb 6 2017 it lasted until approximately October 2019 when I noticed only half on the strip works. I have replaced it with a new surge protector from a different company because I don't trust it to protect objects plugged in. I no longer have the paperwork but I do have my receipt of purchase.
Cons: Part Failure
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
